RoGa, from dream to creation of art.
RoGa with his real name Roberto Gabriel, was born in Port-au-Prince on April 16, 1958. From the age of ten, he regularly attends the workshop of the painter Emmanuel Pierre Charles, where he is constantly attracted to this colorful universe made of images and leaves the little boy he used to be a dreamer. A passion that will become an obsession, teenager Roberto student of the Heart of Jesus school, draws everything related to drawing and color, as evidenced by his rich collection of drawings. Fascinated, his older brother Ernst encourages him to improve himself further by enrolling him to take art courses at the Poto Mitan Center. During this artistic training, Roberto is placed under the guise of Tiga and Frido (1977); with them, he discovers and learns painting, ceramics, theater, decorative art.
